Description:  Dahomey Plantation is a well located, highly improved and very productive rice, cotton and soybean farm.  It is highly developed with precision leveled land, irrigation wells and good drainage.  It is primarily a rice and soybean farm, but it includes some of the most productive cotton land in the Mississippi Delta.  Eighty percent of the land can be irrigated and is capable of growing rice.  The farm has an excellent yield history and is based with rice, cotton and wheat.

Soils: The predominate soils on this farm are Class III Sharkey and Forestdale Clays and Silty Clays.  There is also a significant percentage of Class II Tunica and Dundee Silty Clays.  These are heavy soils which are well suited to rice, soybean and wheat production.  On the separate 591 acre tract, the soils consist almost entirely of Class I and II Robinsonville and Commerce Sandy Loams and Silt Loams.  Overall, the soils are well suited to the crops traditionally grown on the farm.
